Elderly Nutrition - A Success Story

“ My whole life changed last year when I had a severe stroke. I am now unable to move the left side of my body and I am confined to a wheelchair”, Judith Pritchett tells us. She is not able to cook or clean for herself. ”As I have no family, Meals on Wheels has made a real difference in my life. For most of the week, I don’t have to worry about how I am going to eat. They deliver hot nutritious meals to my home. I really look forward to seeing them. It is a highlight of my day!” When we see the difference made in the lives we serve, it makes our day too, Miss Judith!

UCARTS can take you there! Our UCARTS provide public transportation to rural residents of all ages, giving first priority to elderly, handicapped and economically disadvantaged with medical needs.
